TowardsAIsolutionsfor predictivemaintenance: monitoring of bearing (PREDICAI)
The PREDICAI project, a part of the DIH4AI initiative, is focused on developing an AI-driven system for predictive maintenance, specifically targeting the health monitoring of bearings in manufacturing equipment. The project combines machine learning techniques with data from accelerometers and motor electrical variables to predict the remaining useful life of bearings. This approach aims to enhance manufacturing efficiency by reducing downtime and maintenance costs. The project involves collaboration between ALCHEMY (an AI SME) and IMH (partner at BDIH), leveraging ALCHEMY's AI development expertise and IMH's manufacturing knowledge. The results from PREDICAI are expected to significantly benefit manufacturing SMEs by enabling low-cost, predictive maintenance of legacy systems, which in turn enhances production and reduces maintenance costs.
