DIHs for applicaTion ofAiforpicK&place inelectronIc compoNentsmanufacturinG 

The DIH4TAKING experiment was designed to advance robotic solutions in the electronics manufacturing sector, focusing on improving object detection and pose estimation for pick-and-place operations of electronic components. This project aimed to integrate modular perception and grasping AI-based solutions with digital twinning technologies. It involved collaboration between IMECH and various Digital Innovation Hubs, including INESC's expertise and facilities. The main technical goal was to validate an AI-based perception solution's scalability and modularity for a challenging application in electronics manufacturing, leveraging digital manufacturing platforms and the AI4EU marketplace. The project sought to overcome technical challenges in automated electronics assembly, contributing to enhanced industrial productivity and innovation.
