AI-powered bee monitoring system (AIBeeSystem)

The AIBeeSystem project, a part of the DIH4AI initiative, is focused on developing an AI-powered bee monitoring system. This innovative system aims to enhance beehive management by providing detailed data on temperature, humidity, and beehive mass. The goal is to reduce the time and costs associated with beehive management and to minimize stress to bee colonies. By integrating AI directly into the monitoring system (Edge-AI), this project offers a more efficient, lower latency, and cost-effective solution compared to traditional Cloud AI solutions. The data collected will be invaluable for beekeeping research and for enabling beekeepers to optimize their practices, contributing to healthier and more productive bee colonies.
