AI Manufacturing technologist ASSISTant for highly variable lot-size-one production (AIM2ASSIST)

The AIM2ASSIST project, part of the DIH4AI initiative, aimed to enhance the digitization and automation of manufacturing processes, especially for SMEs engaged in lot-size-one production. It focused on developing AI-based tools to predict necessary resources and production durations for workpieces, based on CAD designs. The project planned to integrate these tools into a Manufacturing Operations Management system, offering an innovative solution for efficient resource forecasting and task duration planning in manufacturing. This was expected to improve production efficiency for SMEs in the metal industry and other sectors reliant on computer-aided design and engineering.
